No one can process and pay faster than Aflac. One Day PaySM is Aflac’s way of making sure your claim gets processed and approved the same day you submit it, so you can get paid in a day, to help your life stay on track. We’re built to process and pay, and not to deny and delay.
One Day Pay applies to claims submitted online through the Aflac SmartClaim® system at www.aflac.com/mypolicy. But why read the book when you can see the movie? We’ve made a short, 2-minute video that takes you through the step-by-step process of how One Day Pay works. Just grab some popcorn and see how it works.
It’s simple. All required documentation needs to be electronically uploaded—Monday thru Friday—by 3:00 PM Eastern Time. Once we receive it, we’ll have your claim processed before midnight that same day. This means, you’ll be paid in just a day.
Direct Deposit: If you’ve already signed up with Aflac for Direct Deposit, your funds will be deposited into the financial institution of your choice the next business day after filing your claim.
Conventional Mail: If you haven’t signed up with Aflac for Direct Deposit, your funds will be mailed to you, in the form of a check, the next business day after filing your claim.
At Aflac, we recommend that you sign up for direct deposit, at your convenience, even if you’re not currently making a claim. That way you’ll be prepared to take advantage of the full speed of One Day PaySM if you ever need to make a claim. To sign up for Direct Deposit, visit www.aflac.com/mypolicy today.

No. It's just one form and you’re done. Aflac proactively looks across all the policies you have with us. So if you have other policies that are eligible for filing through Aflac SmartClaim®, we will automatically add them to the claims process and apply any common documentation. Easy peasy, yes?
No scanner, no problem. If you have a smartphone, just take a picture of your documents, email them to yourself and save them to your computer. Then all you have to do is upload them to us. (It’s like your documentation taking a selfie. Isn’t technology great?)
No need to panic, you’re still in luck. We process, approve and pay in an average of 2.1 business days by simply submitting your claim by fax or through the mail. You can sign up for direct deposit for even faster payment at www.aflac.com/mypolicy
No worries. We thought about that, too. You can simply upload the documentation within 28 days of completing the Aflac SmartClaim® process in the ‘Claims Details’ section under ‘My Claims’ at www.aflac.com/mypolicy.
Unfortunately, mail time is not accounted for because we can’t assume mail times and volumes for the U.S. Postal Service. However, to receive your claim payment more quickly in the future, please enroll in Aflac Claims Direct Deposit by visiting www.aflac.com/mypolicy today.
If you initiated your claims through Aflac SmartClaim® and didn’t electronically upload the required documentation, the normal 4-day processing goal applies. We process, approve and pay policies that are not submitted using Aflac SmartClaim® in an average of 2.1 business days.
Submitting your documentation through the electronic upload function in SmartClaim is a requirement for a claim to qualify for One Day PaySM.
