Susan Blanck

Susan R. Blanck is senior vice president, corporate actuary for Aflac Incorporated.  Ms. Blanck also serves as first senior vice president of Aflac Japan.

While continuing in her capacity as corporate actuary, Ms. Blanck works in Aflac Japan’s product development area as well as other strategic marketing initiatives.

She joined Aflac’s Actuarial Department in the U.S. pricing area in 1993 and was promoted to second vice president and assistant actuary in 1998.  In 2000, Ms. Blanck was promoted to vice president.  In 2002, she assumed responsibility for developing Aflac’s business and financial plans. Ms. Blanck was promoted to senior vice president, deputy corporate actuary in 2004 and was promoted to senior vice president, corporate actuary in January 2006.  Ms. Blanck was promoted to her current position in June 2008.

Ms. Blanck is a fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries.  She chairs the Society of Actuaries cancer experience studies committee and has served on the boards of the Florida Health Reinsurance Program and the Chattahoochee Riverkeeper.

Ms. Blanck holds a Bachelor of Science degree in education from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
