A few years ago, one of my coworkers was hurt when we were in Chicago at a conference. Afterwards, the idea of getting some accident/disability insurance came up at one of our staff meetings. Someone got the idea of making Aflac insurance policies available in our practice, and I jumped aboard and applied for an Aflac accident insurance policy.

A few years had gone by and I had never used it except to for some chiropractic services. You start to think that maybe you don't need any supplemental insurance and WOW a tragedy strikes and you are thankful you have it.

It only takes a split second for a trauma to hit your family and your whole life is changed. My husband fell while using a chainsaw and the saw cut his arm in the left elbow area. Instantly, my husband knew he was in serious trouble and ran for home. I was luckily there, grabbed a belt to stop the bleeding, and called 911.

Four months have passed and we have obviously been through a lot. My husband is self-employed and we pay for our own major medical insurance. We have a large deductible and Aflac insurance helped us pay for many hospital bills.

Thank you, Aflac, for all your help. You made a tough situation a little easier to get through and we are thankful for your insurance policies. We would encourage anyone to consider applying for Aflac insurance.
