Aflac Named to Training Magazine’s Top 125 Companies for the Seventh Consecutive Year
Insurer honored as one of the top corporations worldwide providing the best in employee development.
COLUMBUS, Ga. – February 28, 2007 – An employee training curriculum including a variety of courses ranging from accounting certification to personal and professional growth helped Aflac earn a spot on Training magazine's annual Top 125 listing. The publication ranked Aflac at Number 46 among corporations worldwide providing the best opportunities for employee development.
This year marks the seventh consecutive appearance for Aflac on the prestigious list, climbing several spots to land in a top 50 position. The complete listing of the companies recognized by Training magazine will be available in a special section of the March issue.

Aflac employees can earn industry certifications by participating in on-site courses offered during business hours. Examples include the Certified Management Accountant (CMA), and Certified Health and Life Insurance Specialist (CHLIS) programs. The company also offers a job rotation program that prepares participants for career advancement opportunities. In addition to the on-site classes provided through the company's Employee Learning department, Aflac offers tuition-assistance programs for employees who complete coursework toward a degree from Columbus State University or Troy University – Phenix City.
This year, Training magazine expanded the ranking from Top 100 to Top 125. Businesses from around the globe won a coveted spot on the listing by completing a two-part survey that highlights professional skills, leadership development, employee orientation and diversity training.
