Aflac Incorporated Announces Departure of Allan O'Bryant
COLUMBUS, Ga., Aug. 26 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Aflac Incorporated
(NYSE: AFL) today announced that Allan O'Bryant has resigned his position with
the company. O'Bryant, who joined Aflac in 1993 and has spent the last nine
years in Japan, will return to the United States to launch a private equity
firm focused on investing in and partnering with emerging growth companies.
O'Bryant held various positions during his tenure with Aflac, including deputy
chief financial officer of Aflac Incorporated. Most recently, he was
president of Aflac International with oversight responsibility for Aflac
Payment Service, Aflac Insurance Service and aflacdirect.com . O'Bryant's
duties are being reassigned to others within Aflac Japan's organization.
Commenting on O'Bryant's resignation, President and Chief Financial
Officer Kriss Cloninger III said: "We are very appreciative of Allan's many
accomplishments over these past 12 years. We will miss his contributions and
dedication to Aflac. We wish him and his family well in their future
pursuits."
