Columbus, Georgia – September 1, 2004 – Jorge M. Perez, one of south Florida's most recognized entrepreneurs, is the recipient of the 2004 AFLAC Hispanic Achievement Award for Business Entrepreneurship.

Perez, managing general partner of The Related Group of Florida, received his award August 26, 2004, in San Francisco from AFLAC and HISPANIC magazine, which is the largest English language monthly magazine for Hispanics in the United States. The award recognizes Hispanic Americans who have made significant contributions in their chosen fields and have had a positive impact on the Hispanic community.

'Mr. Perez's contributions to south Florida as a leading real estate developer, as well as his leadership and service to his community, make him an obvious choice for this award,' said John G.
