Contribution to Benefit Victims of Omaha Mall Shootings
COLUMBUS, Ga., Dec. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Aflac announced today that the
company will contribute $100,000 to the United Way of the Midlands Von Maur
Victims Fund. The fund was established to assist the victims of the shootings
at the Westroads Mall in Omaha on December 5, 2007.
"Our hearts go out to everyone who has been touched by this tragic
shooting," said Dan Amos, Aflac chairman and chief executive officer. "We are
committed to Omaha and want to do our part to help this community that has
supported our business over the years."

The United Way of the Midlands is assisting with the pledging. Gifts of
cash and checks can be dropped off at either location of the First Westroads
Bank: 612 N. 98th Street (southeast corner of the Westroads Mall parking lot),
or 15750 West Dodge Road. Donations can also be mailed to: Von Maur Victims
