Insurer adds event activation and broadens Hispanic outreach as a part of its marketing strategy.
Columbus, Ga. - June 29, 2007 - Today Aflac announced that it is adding Momentum Worldwide and Zubi Advertising as the latest members of its marketing agency roster. The two agencies will add event activation and Hispanic consumer outreach capabilities to Aflac's marketing strategy. In addition to selecting Momentum and Zubi as new members of its agency network, Aflac will expand the role of existing advertising partner, the Ogilvy Group. The advertising agency has worked on the design of Aflac's digital marketing efforts for the past two years and will now also provide support for the company's business-to-business and worksite marketing efforts as the insurer's B2B Agency of Record.
New York-based Kaplen Thaler Group, creator of the renowned and fan-favorite Aflac Duck campaign, will continue to be the lead creative agency. "We are delighted to be expanding our creative leadership role with Aflac. We look forward to working with our new partner agencies to take the Aflac brand to exciting new heights," said Linda Kaplan Thaler, CEO and chief creative officer, Kaplan Thaler Group.
Fitzgerald+CO, a full-service advertising agency based in Atlanta, will continue its more than 15-year relationship with Aflac by handling media planning and buying.
"Each of these firms will continue to use our greatest marketing asset - the Aflac Duck," said Jeff Herbert, Aflac senior vice president and chief marketing officer. "We selected agency partners according to strengths and experience in areas identified as key to driving our business forward. We are excited to work with all five agencies to take Aflac marketing efforts to new levels."
Zubi, a leading independent U.S. Hispanic-owned advertising agency based in Miami, will support Aflac initiatives targeted to deepening relationships and opportunities within the Hispanic community among consumers and business owners. Momentum Worldwide, headquartered in New York and one of the most geographically extensive global marketing agencies with expertise in promotional activation, will assist the insurer in using interactive events to bring the Aflac brand to life for consumers.
Each agency will be heavily involved in Aflac's 2008 planning.
