Koichi Wakasugi graduated from Ryukoku University in 1979 and joined Aflac that same year. After serving as general manager of the Finance Institution, Chugoku Sales and Kinki Sales Departments, he was promoted to vice president of Retail Marketing Promotion in 2005. He was promoted to his current position in January 2012.
