Alex Stephanouk is senior vice president and internal audit executive of Aflac Incorporated.
Stephanouk joined Aflac Incorporated in 2009 as vice president of Internal Audit, where he was responsible for all corporate Internal Audit activities and reported to the Aflac Incorporated Audit Committee. He was promoted to his current position in 2012.
Prior to joining Aflac, Stephanouk was managing director of Advisory Services at KPMG in Atlanta, and he also worked as manager of Business Process Risk Consulting at Arthur Andersen, LLP.
Stephanouk holds the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and the Certified Risk Management Assessor (CRMA) designations. Additionally, he serves on the board of governors of the Columbus Chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors and is the treasurer for the board of directors for the Family Center, a local not-for-profit organization. He also serves on the LSU Center for Internal Auditing Advisory Board.
Stephanouk earned a bachelor's degree in marketing from Auburn University. He earned a Master of Business Administration in internal audit and human resources from Louisiana State University.
