Drew Niziak joined Aflac in January 2013 in his current position as senior vice president of broker sales and Aflac Benefit Solutions. In his role, Niziak oversees the broker sales strategy and leads the development of national and regional marketing relationships with insurance brokers through Aflac and ABS. Aflac's broker sales division provides dedicated services and support to mid-tier and regional brokers in conjunction with Aflac's field force, while ABS was created in 2012 to provide specialized services to Aflac's most significant brokerage partners through an experienced team of business developers, consultants, strategic account managers and broker service professionals.
Niziak has 20 years of experience in group sales in the insurance industry. He most recently served as executive vice president of voluntary distribution for Sun Life Financial. As executive vice president and director of sales for Employees Benefit Group, he realized a 595 percent year-over-year growth rate, an earnings increase of 602 percent with in-force premiums increasing by more than 320 percent from 2000 through 2010.
Niziak started his career at Sun Life as a group sales representative. He held positions of increasing responsibility, including senior group sales representative, manager of the Houston and Chicago Group Sales offices, regional vice president of the Group division and executive vice president and director of Sales/Distribution.
Niziak earned a Bachelor of Arts from Johns Hopkins University and a Master of Business Administration from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
