Kenneth S. Janke is executive vice president; deputy chief financial officer of Aflac Incorporated.
He joined Aflac Incorporated in 1985 as manager of Investor Relations and was promoted to senior vice president in 1993. During his lengthy tenure in the Investor Relations department, Aflac was frequently recognized for its Investor Relations communications and activities. In 2010, he was promoted to executive vice president and deputy chief financial officer. In July 2013, he assumed the additional role of president of Aflac U.S. where he was responsible for financial statements of the U.S. reporting segment, while continuing to serve as deputy CFO. In September 2014, he returned full time to the deputy CFO role, where he maintains his focus on capital and capital management while assuming additional responsibilities for financial reporting and actuarial functions.
Prior to beginning his distinguished career at Aflac, Janke served as director of Corporate Services for the National Association of Investors Corporation (NAIC) in Madison Heights, Michigan. He earned a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Michigan in 1981 and a Master of Business Administration from Oakland University School of Business Administration in 1985.
